OGE is headed by a Director who is appointed to a five-year term by the President. As noted in the organizational chart and staff directory, in addition to the Office of the Director, OGE is divided into four offices that work in concert to carry out OGE's mission.
The Office of the Director provides overall direction to the executive branch ethics program and is responsible for ensuring that OGE fulfills its Congressional and Presidential mandates.
The General Counsel and Legal Policy Division (GCLPD) is responsible for establishing and maintaining a uniform legal framework of Government ethics for Executive Branch employees.
The Program Counsel Division (PCD) manages significant external communications between OGE and its many customers and stakeholders. The division combines key functions that cut across OGE mission areas in order to bring targeted resources to these functions.
The Compliance Division (CD) administers the Executive Branch financial disclosure program and monitors and reviews agency ethics programs to ensure compliance with applicable ethics requirements established by statutes, rules, regulations, and Executive Orders.
The International Assistance and Internal Operations Division is responsible for coordinating OGE's international technical assistance program and OGE’s internal operations.
