OGE Conference

OGE has been hosting a conference for ethics officials from throughout the Executive Branch since 1991. The conference serves to inform ethics officials about the application of ethics-related laws and regulations and provides participants with an opportunity to discuss ethics issues common to the Executive Branch.

THE 17TH NATIONAL GOVERNMENT ETHICS CONFERENCE

The 17th National Government Ethics Conference will be held in May 2010 in Chicago, Illinois, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago on the Riverwalk. The Conference will continue the tradition of educating officials on ethics issues and discussing the future role of ethics in the Executive Branch.

The Conference will consist of two parts: the New Ethics Official Certificate Program which is designed for ethics officials with a limited amount of experience in the Executive Branch ethics program and the National Conference which is designed for both new and seasoned ethics officials.

The New Ethics Official Certificate Program will be held Monday, May 10 through Tuesday, May 11, 2010. The National Conference will be held Wednesday, May 12 through Friday, May 14, 2010. The New Ethics Official Certificate Program is intended as a primer for the National Conference and participants should plan to attend the National Conference as well.

More information regarding the conference will be posted as it becomes available. If you have any questions, contact Teresa Weakley on 202-482-9283 or at tlweakle@oge.gov.
