SUBJECT:      FY2012 Quarter 1 Training Schedule  

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics FY2012 Quarter 1 training schedule is now available.  Course offerings include:

  • Introductory level training on conflicts of interest, certifying 450 reports, and elements of a complete ethics program.

  • Introductory level certificate program on analyzing gift issues 
  • Workshops on adding value through cooperation, effective ethics education, identifying new entrant filers, outside activities, and widely attended gatherings. 
  • A NEW workshop on effective planning for training.  Effective planning can mean the difference between successful and unsuccessful ethics training. In this workshop participants will discuss the challenges they faced in carrying out their 2011 training plans and identify ways to overcome them in 2012. Participants will be asked to think strategically about the who, what, when and how of their training programs and will begin to create an outline of their training plans for 2012. 
  • Web-based training on essential skills for training online, and OGE Form 450 Review.                                

Training will be offered in Washington, DC.  Please refer to the Workshops and Seminars section of OGE’s website for a complete listing of course titles, course descriptions, dates, times and registration information.
