This September, OGE is embarking on an exciting new venture to deliver the highest quality training in an entirely different way, one that will charge the ethics program with a new level of energy: the National Government Ethics Summit. The Summit is a series of events in the Washington, D.C. area that will bring together leaders from the executive branch ethics community, representatives from the legislative and judicial branches, members of the press, advocates from good government groups, noted thinkers from academia, and officials from state and local governments.
Summit sessions will cover topical and advanced issues in ethics law and policy, including the finer points of the criminal conflict of interest statutes, complexities in applying the Standards of Conduct, and advanced financial disclosure. Other sessions will cover ethics-related authorities such as the Hatch Act, Whistleblower Protection Act, and travel regulations.
Stay tuned for announcements as the Summit draws closer.
OGE will hold the in-person Summit events at metro-accessible locations in the DC area.
OGE will live-stream select presentations from the Three-Day Forum and will provide additional virtual-only sessions. OGE will post links as events become available.
