In accordance with the 1990 Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act as amended by the 1996 Debt Collection Improvement Act, these final rule amendments incorporate 10% inflation adjustments for each of the five civil monetary penalties provided in the Ethics in Government Act, as reflected in the executive branchwide financial disclosure and outside employment/activities regulations promulgated by OGE.
